This mural was funded by the city of Louisville Economic Development. They had a call to muralists looking for community murals where the artist would find a business or building owner and kind of collaborate with them to have a new mural in their community. I was fortunate to find a building that is in a developing part of town but doesn't have many murals near by. I knew I wanted to brighten this corner as much as possible so I photographed a few flowers in full bloom from around town and painted them 2 stories tall. I was also able to cut these bird shaped mirrors and adhere them above the flowers to give an extra special effect as you drive by.
